First baby shower and Presley's new birth date!!

I had my first baby shower last Friday at Pogacha, my favorite restuarant in Issaquah. The staff at my school threw me this shower and it was so sweet of them to do!! Lots of people showed up to celebrate the future arrival of baby Presley! She got so many adorable things from onsie's with tutu's, to a robe to go with her swimsuit and sandals, to knitted blankets, to stuffed animals, to diapers...and everything else in between. It truly was over and beyond anything I had ever expected. Here are some pictures from my baby shower...

The adorable cake they got from me (a parent at school made it)!

The robe, cute swimsuit and sandals to match!

My kitchen lady got these for us P! Just adorable!

Close up of the cake...and it was a strawberry cake which was DELICIOUS!!!

Opening the tutu onsie!

More adorable clothes...which is just what we need, truly!

The aftermath of pile of clothes! Goodness they are adorable!

Also today, I had my monthly appointment. I am excited to say...I finally gained weight! As of last appointment I had only gained 6 lbs, as of now...I officially have gained 13lbs. Whoohooo!! My doctor was so proud of me. It was a normal routine appointment until she mentioned she wanted to do a ultrasound to see how my placenta was doing. Long story short, they have been looking at my placenta since my first ultrasound where they noticed it was lower than normal. They have been keeping a eye on it and today, she told me that I will need a c-section. My placenta hasn't gotteBoldn any higher like they were hoping, so it is close to my cervix. So if I was to give birth naturally I would deliver the placenta first and then P, which we don't want because that is not safe at all. So it's safer to have a c-section for both baby and myself. Not really a surprise to me as I never, ever do anything by the books...I always do things with a bang!! And totally okay with this decision. Until then I need to laylow such as no running, lifting and staying regular (don't want me pushing) because if I was start to bleed, bedrest it is for me. It is possible it still could rise upward, but more than likely not. So, yep...Presley will officially arrive on August 27th! Good day as she will share a birthday with Sarah, Rachel and Shaw! haha!

Here is me at 25 weeks....

More to come later this week about our beautiful new bedroom that Drew worked on SO hard yesterday to put together. We officially got P's nursery cleaned out (like how I didn't call it a closet, it is now her nursery). It's not a closet people, Presley's peekaboo nursery! Got the changing table and dresser all set up too...yesterday was a good day!!
