Busy bee....

It has been a fun week! P and I have been staying busy. We just got back from going on a walk with Casey. We had lots of fun walking around Klahanie, next time we will find somewhere else to go. Hopefully there will be a next time, and not have to wait until the Spring as the weather is starting to turn. It was great to meet up with her and hear about what is happening at work. Next week, P and I are going to stop by the school so she can meet the staff there and the kids. We did head to my work last week but that was to meet the other managers and my boss (they just loved her)! haha!

Busy girl

We have been busy, busy! Presley and I try to get out everyday and venture somewhere. Drew has Sundays and Mondays off, so we went out and played on Monday. Ventured to the mall and ran some errands, it was fun! Tuesday it was just gorgeous out so we headed to Seattle and walked around Greenlake, it was just perfect! I can see myself doing that more come spring time because it's looking like Summer is officially over (but who knows, it could be 90 tomorrow and snow the next). Wednesday I got my hair done down in Des Moines, so my mom watched P. They had a grand ol' time! Me not so much...I had to find myself a new hair lady and this lady I went too, good golly, she took 5 hours to do my hair. 5 HOURS! Really?! I had to go home in the middle of it to pump she took so dang long. After one takes 5 hours to get their hair done you would think it would be perfect. Nope. I wanted to go shorter and darker, which it is but not exactly what I was picturing. I've been playing around with it, so it's pretty cute now but man...horrible when I walked out of there.

Thursday through Saturday afternoon Drew's mom Marla was up to spend some time with Presley and I think they had a great time. I got to venture out to lunch with my mom one afternoon and some friends from work another. By the way...Casey who took over my position for the year and who is doing a fabulous job totally gave my room a makeover. It's just adorable, in everyway!!

My parents Nanny and Poppy are off to Paris and Italy for 3 weeks today. When they get back P is going to be so much bigger. It's amazing how fast she is growing and changing now. And those cheeks...keep getting bigger and bigger.

We are venturing down to Vancouver here soon and P can't wait to meet everyone down there. She says "it's about dang time people!"

1 month old!!

Can't believe it...baby Presley is 1 month old, as of yesterday! Friday we went to her 1 month check up. She now weighs 8 lbs 12 ounces and is right on track. She is one happy, healthy little girl! Of course I had TONS of questions for the doctor just to make sure all was okay. She is used too it, but she got a clean bill of health, as well as her second Hep B shot which she wasn't too happy about. Her acid reflux is much better but man, she is one spitty up girl. We go through clothes and the washing machine is always going. She hates the spit up, but its sure beats that acid feeling in the throat. YUCK! Yep, she is 1 month old. Yesterday while we were down at Nanny and Poppy's for the day, P's cousins were there. P had so much fun with them but knows it will be that much more fun when she can walk and talk with them. Thanks Brent and Shira for sharing them with us for the weekend and hope that you two had a fabulous time in Cannon Beach!!

We just bought her costume for Halloween...and she is going to be so comfy in it and it is just too adorable! She is going to be a banana!!! Pictures to come for sure! When she isn't wearing her banana outfit, her tutu and witch onesie from Trish it is!!

We are VERY proud to announce....she just had her first huge blowout! Yes, our baby girl can blowout her diaper like the best of them! Sitting on Drew's lap, she let one loose and it got all over Drew's shorts, up her back and all over her onesie. Bath time it was for her!!

Last Friday, Kam, Jenae and the boys (Drew's nephews Elion and Isaac) stopped by my parents house to meet Presley. We got the best pictures of them meeting her. It was so much fun and we were so glad that they were able to meet her! Here are some of the precious pictures from that day...

Acid Reflux = no fun

It has indeed been a tough week. Miss P decided it would be fun to try out acid reflux. HA! Not fun at all is what she has decided. About Monday or Tuesday she started getting extremely fussy, spitting up way more, grunting and groaning and just wasn't herself. We tried gas drops, gripe water but nothing was working. After chatting with my sister, we diagnosed her with acid reflux (we are undercover doctors). Lucas has acid reflux as well and she was showing the same signs as him. We have an appointment scheduled for Friday, August 16th but there was no way I was going to be able to wait that long. So we made a appointment for last Saturday. Sure enough, she has acid reflux. She was given a prescription and is now slowly on the mend. The doctor says it takes about 3-4 days to fully start working so until then we have been propping her up at night in her bouncy seat and trying not to lay her down flat for long. She will let you know when she gets a irritated, that's for sure. It truly has been the worst seeing her in pain and not being able to do anything about it. Thank goodness the meds are kicking in and she is doing much better.

Due to Presley having acid reflux and us trying to get into the doc's, Nick and Laleh weren't able to make it up on Saturday to meet her. Was I ever bummed about this as I was looking forward to them meeting her for weeks now. P did pick out this amazing outfit all by herself to meet Laleh, so hopefully she will still fit in it come the beginning of October when we plan on venturing down to Vancouver to see everyone...

I think I have already thanks Jo for letting us borrow this amazing seat but this seat has truly been our lifesaver (until this acid reflux thing). But truly...P loves this seat and it's great to put her in if you need to get things done. She just snuggles down into it and sleeps.

P's thing lately has been to be wide awake in the morning's after her breakfast. Here she is wide awake, loving life! And my word her hands look HUGE in this pic. She is like a little puppy who will grow into her hands and feet!

Yesterday we went to Presley's first BBQ at Trisha and Shane's house for Liv's Suprise Party! It was so much fun and P did great! She told me too that she "had a blast and can't decide if she wants to date Elliott or Miller, so has to think about it for awhile!" Pics to come soon!

I also need to post pics from Friday. Kam, Jenae and the boys (Elion and Isaac) came up to meet little P and we got some amazing pictures from that day! So glad they came up!

Tomorrow...Drew ventures back to work. It has been so nice having him here for the last three weeks. We sure will miss daddy here at home during the day and will be so excited when he gets home! So P and I together it is!!!

So here we are...tomorrow will already be three weeks. Crazy I tell ya, just crazy! Time is flying by. And little P is just plumping up nicely. Can't wait to see how much she ways when we go in for her monthly check-up on the 16th.

Her umbilical cord fell off a week or so ago, but some of it was still in there. The doc told us to not bath her until it was fully out. Monday I was changing her diaper and it was just dangling...so I went ahead and got it out. Time for her first bath....

She did great actually, as long as you kept warm water on her. Otherwise she was like a wet cat trying to get out of the bathtub.

Presley also went to her first car show on Monday down in Issaquah thanks to poppy. Yep, my dad had to introduce her early. Totally should have gotten a pic, goofed up on that one. But she had fun and pretty much slept through all of the loud cars, people, etc. Monday was a BIG day, BIG day people!!

Last Wednesday we ventured down to my parents so P could meet one of her Great Grandma's as well as Aunts. My grandma is 93 years old, so I am so happy they were able to meet. Last night we went over to Brent and Shira's so P could see her cousins, Aunt and Uncle again and then we ventured to chinese food (one of our favorite spots here in Sammamish)! We just had to show off P to the lady who works there...she wanted us to come back after I had her. Well trust me...we will be going back there for sure!
