Good bye work!

It's offiical...I'm on maternity leave as of two hours ago! I can't believe it. It truly was the craziest feeling knowing I won't be going back for at least 9 months. I know all the kids and parents will be in the best hands, Casey's! I couldn't ask for a better person to step into my shoes. You are going to do just fabulous Casey (remember to email or text me if you need too)! Have so much fun with the kiddos next year! Kenz and Beth...gonna miss you ladies but we for sure will be hanging out! Anywho...yes, Casey and I met with Nathan our boss today and finalized everything. I am officially on leave, so time to put my feet up and relax...doctors orders. Which is perfect timing because this past week my feet and hands have been swollen when I get home. My hips and butt hurt when I get up...can't get a good nights sleep. Heartburn has been bugging me lately, so my doc told me take pepcid ac instead of tums...and it seems to be working better. The next four weeks are going to be just lovely, I already know it! I can't complain though because this pregnancy has been amazing the whole way through, so what is four weeks?

Yesterday, P most have kicked my rib or something because all of a sudden I jumped and screamed. It felt like her foot pushed into my rib...hard. It startled me and her. It was actually kinda funny! She is getting so big now that her movements are much more intense.

This means that I will probably be blogging more now that I have time, and well...gotta get it in before Presley's arrival because after that, it's going to be that much tougher to blog. I may just be a tad busy. So get ready people...this girl may just get blog crazy in the next 4 weeks. haha!

I just had to post this adorable picture of baby Lucas, who is now 2 months! Tummy time!! Less than a month and I get to meet him!!!! Andrea, Matt and Lucas are coming into town on the 12th for about 10 days, can't wait to snuggle and kiss all over him!

And here I am at 34 weeks. No making fun...you know how they say one glows when your pregnant? HA, that's funny! In this pic I had just washed my face so I blotch when I'm pregnant. My face always gets flushed like that after I wash my face lately, lovely!

I had my doctors appointment on Monday. I gained 5 lbs in two weeks which is about normal towards the end for two weeks. I now start going every week which is crazy to think that I'm already here. Next week I get my last ultrasound too, which it will be fun to see P one last time before her arrival! Everything and everyone is on track.

This weekend we have our birthing class. We thought about opting out of it since I am having a c-section but I called the lady and she still recommended we go and heck, we already paid for it. There is information in it that will be beneficial to us (we shall see about that) and we get a tour of the hospital. We also have Drew's family reunion in DePont this weekend on Saturday night. It will be fun to meet some of his family members that I haven't met or haven't seen in awhile. The weather is going to be just beautiful too! Summer is finally here.....

30 and pregnant (my own sitcom)!!!

This past week was my 30th birthday! My goodness...I am officially thirty! It was a great one too! Nothing like I thought my big 3-0 would be, but I'm okay with that as I really plan on celebrating it on my 30.5 birthday. So save that date! We shall see when that time comes. On my actual birthday I woke up to wonderful gifts from Drew. A Family picture frame which I can't wait to put pics of us three in! A hoodie and a onesie for P that says "current family favorite", as well as my favorite things right now...peanut butter, gummy bears, candles and so much more! Thanks babe!! Ashlee took me out for dinner, she even brought me a balloon and flowers like a fabulous date would! Drew was out having basketball games, so it was girls night here in Sammamish. The next night we celebrated it again...this time with Ashlee, Steve and Drew at one of my favorite places, Pogacha! They are so much fun and we can't wait until their big day on August 12th! It's right around the corner!!

Ash and I at Pogacha!
Flowers from Casey! So sweet of her!

The balloon Ash gave me...too cute!

Gerber daisies...MY FAV!!!

This past weekend we were down in Vancouver which was a blast as always. It's truly getting harder and harder to come back home from there. Especially when when the drive took us 5 hours to get home last night...blah. But so worth it when we are down there. The newman annual golf tourney happened and it looked like they had so much fun! Us girls met up with them afterwards and they were just wiped from all the fun!

Nick and Drew before the tourney!

We will be venturing down one more time (hopefully) the weekend of August 5th for Ava's 1st birthday! Can't believe she is going to be one already, my word. It will be so much fun celebrating with all the little ones. I might just venture down early and come back after Drew because....I WON'T BE WORKING and I gotta get the couve' in while I can!!!!

Yep, 4 more days of work for me and I am officially on maternity leave!! Can't wait becuase it is truly getting uncomfortable at work. So excited to be able to rest, put my feet up and get things all ready for P!!!

Here is me at 33 weeks....only 33 more days until baby Presley arrives!

Presley's Petite Palace has been painted!

Over the weekend Drew and I ventured to Ikea and got the curtains to cover the inside of the closet (our clothes) and for the outside of the Presley's Petite Palace (it officially is no longer a closet)! After shopping for all the different things we needed for not only her palace, but our house too...we were ready to go! As I relaxed on the couch, my amazing husband put it all together! (I only had my camera phone to use today as I left my camera at work, that's why the lighting is funky....I will take more pics later with my regular camera.)

Here is the palace with the curtains up!

Then today, my mom came and painted a branch on the wall for P! My mom is truly the most talented lady/artist I know! She did the tree on Lucas' wall and now it was time to do P's room. It turned out just adorable and Drew and I just love it! Thank you so much mom!

Hallway view

Got the mobile up and some of the clothes even snuck in there!

It's even more adorable in real life!

View of the adorable branch!

And we aren't done yet...we still have some final touches to add to it! It's all coming together!!

And just to let you know...8 more days of work left and I turn 30 tomorrow! Ahhhh! First time in 30 years that it's supposed to rain on my b-day. BUT, it's supposed to be gorgeous this weekend for the golf tournament in Vancouver!

Vancouver Baby Shower, Carseat and Hospital Visit...

32 weeks and I can officially say....I'm uncomfortable. Today P was jabbin' my side all day long and it felt like she was cramping up my side. I can say that I love being pregnant, but I'm pretty much ready to be done. She still has some brewing to do though, so just gotta suck it up and move on!

We had a Jack and Jill baby shower at Nick and Laleh's house over the weekend. It turned out just beautiful! The food, friends and family was all just amazing! A huge thank you to Laleh, Kam and Marla for throwing this beautiful shower for Presley! She, Drew and I are so lucky to have you in our lives!

The adorable decorations Laleh had!

Marla, Kam and I after opening presents

The blanket that Sarie made for Presley out of her daughter's blankets

Drew and I opening all of our amazing gifts! (Vans from Amanda and Joe...the cutest!)

The ladies after the shower! Such a fun day that was!

Thanks to Ashlee's sister-in-law, mother and Marla and Robert...we have ourselves a carseat!! And it's amazing in everyway! We got ourselves a Orbit carseat and stroller. It's the easiest car seat to put together, get in and out and on/off the stroller. We LOVE IT! We wanted to have a infant carseat that we can take out of the car and be able to carry her around in it while she is little. Then we will move up to the bigger one that stays in the car.

Looks like a stork would bring her to us in it!

Our Orbit Carseat!

I had a doctor's appointment on Monday and doing great! Gaining weight nicely and P is growing just like she should. I have officially gained 23lbs and racking them on now until the end.

I did learn that I am not to travel over the mountains to Chelan come August like I was hoping. She is just worried with my previa that I could go into labor over there and that would not be good, as she has had women who have gone into labor in Wenatchee. That's the last place I would want to have her. She said if I was going to Bellingham that would be okay, but no Chelan. :( So I will just have to wait for next Summer to venture back over that way. That's okay though because Andrea and Matt will be here August 12th with baby Lucas...CAN'T WAIT TO MEET HIM!

We are also in the process of finding a pediatrician in the area. She mentioned there are some good ones in the PineLake area or one right near our house which would be really convenient. So I am going to head in there and see if I can meet with one come August.

Update: I was working on this yesterday afternoon as I left work early because of that jabbin, cramping pain on my side. I called my nurse to see what in the world was going on and if it was normal because it came out of the blue. Just to make sure things were okay, my doctor had me head to the labor and delivery to get monitored and to make sure I wasn't going into preterm labor. After being there for over 5 hours, after countless ultrasounds and monitoring...baby is healthy! She is actually acting like that of a full term baby and weighs 4lbs 8 oz. The diagnoses was round ligament pain. It's when your ligaments around the side and lower party of your belly stretch causing you to feel uncomfortable, sore and have shooting pains when you move certain ways and a all around dull aching pain all the time. It's awesome as it's only going to get worse and I pretty much can just take tylenol. My last day of work can't come soon enough. But, very happy to know that's all it is...it wasn't any major problem like bleeding behind my placenta or preterm labor. We hope to not have to venture back there until we have her!

Off to my work baby shower with some of the managers at Mckenzie's house this evening!

Fourth of July Weekend!

Once again...this past weekend was a blast and crammed pack with fun festivities! Today I was absolutely exhausted from all of it. I felt like a zombie this morning when I got into work and still trying to wake up now. Goodness...is this how it's going to be the rest of my pregnancy? Just plain pooped? Perhaps once I am done with work...I won't be as tired. Maybe?! "Catch up on sleep" is what everyone says, ha! Not really possible when your so busy with summer activities, work, getting ready for P and can't sleep at all anymore.

Saturday afternoon we headed to Ashlee's 30th birthday bash! It was so much fun to see everyone again and celebrate her amazing day! I would have done anything for one of those margaritas or a nice, cold glass of sangria while I was there...but water it was. Next year perhaps?!

Ash and I on her 30th!

Then Sunday night, Drew and I ventured to Emerald Downs for Trisha's big 30th! It was so much fun! Drew had never been and I think he really had a blast betting on the horses. It of course was great to see all of the girls who could make it! We did leave before the fireworks because we truly didn't want to sit in traffic after they were done. There were SO many people there, it was craziness.

The pregger girls! The ladies...minus Jen who got there a tad later.

The next day was Fourth of July! We had a little celebration bash at my parents house and it was just beautiful out! My parents friends were over there, the boys, Shira and Brent came by which I was super excited about and Drew even came over after work and golfing! We had hotdogs over the fire, made smores and just had fun hanging out with the family.

Starting to look large and in charge!

Here I am at 31 weeks. I officially feel LARGE! And it's only going to get better! ha! It wasn't until now that I noticed myself waddling. It's like my hips over night went funky and I walk like a penguin now. It's awesome! I just feel plain big. I tried wearing flip flops to work...nope, bad idea. Came home and my feet were so swollen. So I wear my tennis shoes or Toms most days which seem to be working fine. I try to sit when I can, which is pretty hard at work but am. This week won't be too bad as I only have one and half more days of work then we are off to Vancouver Friday morning! Baby shower time on Saturday! We can't wait to see everyone!
