We will start from the beginning, go back...back into time, to the beginning of December.
The first week of December I started to get insanely tired, wanting to go to bed at like 7 or 8 at night. When I was at work, about 2 o'clock it was like I was hitting a wall and then was soo tired there after. The main thing that kind of gave it away was that wine didn't sound good...at all. I absolutely love my wine, so when I started saying no to wine every night Drew started to wonder about me. My face started breaking out in ways it has never, ever done before. I felt like I couldn't ever eat enough and felt nauseas in the afternoons.
Around the middle of December, it finally clicked...I think I may be pregnant. I ended up taking pregnancy tests right before Christmas because I knew that I was by this point.
Christmas Eve we celebrated Christmas at my parents house. Drew's parents Marla and Robert were at my parents as well, so we figured it was the perfect opportunity to tell them the exciting news. I so wish we would have gotten pictures of this. Drew and I went out and bought bibs. One bundle of girl ones and one bundle of boy ones. We wrapped them up and had them open them up at the same time. The moms opened them up and were in absolute ahh. It was funny because the dads kind of sat there in shock. But it was absolutely amazing to tell them this way. I told my sis when I got to my parents that day because I was sooo excited to tell her. She is actually due about 3 months before me!
I called right after Christmas to make a appt with my doctor. They don't have you come in until 8 weeks, so that wasn't for another month. January 21st. In the mean time...I had to lie and fib to my friends about going out becaues they would have known I was preggers. I felt like such a horrible friend. But I knew it would all make sense when they learned about the big news.
New Years Eve we used the excuse that we had a water leak. In all honesty, we did but it wasn't nearly as drastic as I made it out to be. But there is no way I could have ventured out for New Years and not have anyone notice me not drinking.
First time I ventured out with knowing my little secret was our annual panty party! Thank goodness Sarah had blue keg cups so no one knew I was drinking water. Attempting to drink the shot, was a rather tricky but I mastered it. I kinda figured that Jess and Jo (the other preggers of the group) would SO catch me which in the end, they kinda knew something was up!

January 21st we had our first appt. which I was 8 weeks. Baby was the size of raspberry. I was so excited, nervous and antsy hoping everything was okay. It turned out being absolutely amazing! We saw baby's heartbeat beating oh so fast. It was wonderful!
Towards the end of January we had our happy hour with all the girls! It was so much fun because I was finally going to get my little secret off my chest and tell them our exciting news! It was so much fun! I thought for sure people would notice me ordering water and a shirley temple. But nope, only Jess suspected something and Jules knew all along! Finally Andrea said something about me knowing my maternity leave and I told her! Then in turn, told the whole group! It was so exciting to tell them. Then to top it off...Jen announced she is preggers too! She is only 5 weeks behind me! Fabulous!! Jess is due May 8th...babies are going to be all around us!!
We went to a SuperBowl Party at Trisha's house which was so much fun! It was fun to be around people who finally knew! It sure is a change though from drinking during things like this to not. But what a fun time it was!

February 17th we went for my 12 week appt. Baby was the size of lime. I can't believe that I was officially on my last week of my first trimester at this appt. already. It went by so fast. We heard baby's heartbeat, saw baby jumping up and down like a little jumping bean. Baby was turning every which way, it was amazing to see! We got like 7 ultrasound pics. The nurse was trying to see if she could see if it was a boy or girl already, but still too soon. But soon enough we will know! April we will know!! Drew thinks it's a boy and I of course, a girl! We need a little girl in both of our families! We both have two nephews on each side, my sister is having another boy...so a girl would be great! But whatever we get...we will be happy as long as they are happy and healthy.
Until next time!
